KRISTEN DEBRUYCKER has been doing martial arts since the age of 9 and teaching it since 16. She started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2006 while in college under Dennis Hayes in Roanoke, VA. Upon graduation, Kristen moved back home to the Northern Virginia area, where she continued her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey with Master Pedro Sauer. Kristen has now been with Master Sauer for over 10 years, learning from him directly and receiving every belt under him including black belt in December 2017. She has run the kid’s program at the Pedro Sauer Headquarters in Herndon, VA, for 10 years and the adult Thai Program for 6 years. Kristen is also a Kru in Thai Boxing under Ajarn Chai and an Instructor in Kali and JKD under Dan Inosanto. Martial arts is her life, and teaching is her passion.
