Thanksgiving Schedule

Next week, we’re having BJJ open mat after Wednesday boxing, and we’re closed on Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, Nov. 21:
6-7pm Boxing sparring (all ages)
7pm BJJ open mat (all ages)

Thursday, Nov. 22:
CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING

Saturday, Nov. 24:
10-1130am BJJ fundamentals – no gi (adults)

Holiday Schedule

Schedule will go as follows this week:

  • Monday, 7/2: regular classes
  • Tuesday: kids class at 5, no boxing from 6-7 (we are having an open mat for Boxing and Jiu Jitsu from 6-7 and Jiu Jitsu at 7-8:30)
  • Wednesday: no classes
  • Thursday: regular class schedule
  • Saturday: regular class schedule

Last Saturday’s seminar by black belt Izzy Ruiz proved to be a great success and an education in the art of side control.

Last Saturday’s seminar by black belt Izzy Ruiz proved to be a great success and an education in the art of side control. Topics covered included pinpoint top pressure, escapes, and two interesting submission sequences — one of which, a setup to a mounted arm triangle, that can only be called “the straitjacket.”

These kinds of in-house seminars are an example of the quality programs we enjoy through our affiliation with HYBRID. In addition to discounted seminars, HYBRID frequently loans us their brown and black belt jiujitsu practitioners for regular classes.
